So you have a Host gator account and you want to get your word press site up and running in a jiffy? Here I will help you out step by step on getting you on your way to blogging with WordPress and Hostgator.

If you do not all ready have a Host Gator Account. Get One. Its Cheap and has Loads of Options. Month to Month, is $9.95 and I get Unlimited Bandwith And Space.

So here we go..

Step 1: Get a HostGator Account. (Get One Here)
Step 2: Wait for your New account to be set up and check your Email for your account Info

Step 3: Log into your Host Gator Hosting account. (Should be a link in your email)
Step 4: Once you have logged in, Navigate to "Software/Services" and click on "Fantastico" (It's the Blue Smiley Face Icon"
Step 5: On the Left Side in the "Blogs" Section, Find "WordPress" and click on that
Step 6: Click on "New Installation"
Step 7: Choose your Domain Installation from the drop Down Menu. This is usually the Domain name you had chosen when you set up your Hostgator Hosting Service account.
Step 8: Install Directory. This can be left blank for the first time.
Step 9: The User Name in this box (Above the Password Box) Should be "Admin".
Step 10: Choose your password but don't lose it.
Step 11: Choose your Nickname for your admin.
Step 12: In the Following Boxes type in your email address, Site Name, and Site Description.
Step 13: Click on "Install WordPress

If there were no Problems then click on "Finish Install" and your done. You will be presented with a page that has a Link to your new word press Log In.
